Terms of service

The service

TaskPaws is software for running a veterinary clinic: scheduling, patient records, reminders, analytics, APIs, and related features, on the web and in our mobile apps. Available features depend on the plan you subscribe to.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be authorized to bind the clinic that will use TaskPaws. You are responsible for staff accounts, credentials, and activity under your clinic workspace.

Keep passwords confidential and notify us of unauthorized access.

Subscriptions, trials, and billing

Starter and Business plans include a 14-day trial without a credit card. Paid plans bill monthly at the then-current rates unless we agree otherwise.

You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel from account settings. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law. Elite pricing and onboarding may be agreed separately.

Clinic data

You retain rights to the clinic, patient, and pet-owner data you submit. You grant TaskPaws a license to host, process, and display that data solely to provide the service.

You represent that you have the right to submit that data, including clinical information and pet-owner contacts, and that doing so complies with applicable veterinary, privacy, and communications laws.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse TaskPaws: no unauthorized access, scraping, reverse engineering except as allowed by law, sending unlawful messages, uploading malware, or using the service for anything other than legitimate veterinary practice operations.

We may suspend access for violations or to protect the service.

Third-party services

Social login, SMS delivery, payments, and similar features rely on third parties. Their terms apply to those components. We are not responsible for third-party outages or policies.

Not veterinary advice

TaskPaws is a practice-management tool. It does not provide veterinary diagnosis, treatment advice, or clinical decision-making, and it is not a medical device. Clinical responsibility remains with licensed professionals at your clinic.

Availability and changes

We aim for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may modify, add, or remove features, including as plans change. We will give reasonable notice of material changes when practical.

Disclaimers

Except as required by law, the service is provided "as is" without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that records will be error-free or that the service will meet every clinical or regulatory requirement of your practice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TaskPaws and its people will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost records, or business interruption.

Our total liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the fees your clinic paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify TaskPaws against claims arising from your clinic's data, your use of the service, or your breach of these terms, except to the extent we caused the claim.

Termination

You may stop using TaskPaws and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment, material breach, or legal risk.

After termination we may delete data after a retention window, so export records you need to keep.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Continued use after the updated terms take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you must stop using the service.
